    Hello,

I am transferring an account from one server to another, both on 11.30 versions of WHM, using ssh with public_key.

Can I close the progress window while this is taking place?

How can I check the status if I do so?

This is a huge account I'm talking about (10 GB).

    Thanks in advance,
    Daniel

    Hello Daniel,

While the progress may continue if you close the window, I would not suggest it. If you have that large of an account, it would likely be better to use SSH for the manual packaging and transfer of the account. You can use this command to package the account in root SSH:

    Code:
    /scripts/pkgacct username
In root SSH, you can run this in screen (command is simply "screen") to save it in a window where if you are disconnected that you can simply reconnect easily.

Next, after it packages, you can scp the file to the new machine:

    Code:
    scp -pr /home/cpmove-username.tar.gz root@newserverIP#:/home
Replacing username with the cPanel username and newserverIP# with the new server's IP number. After the file is on the new machine, then use the following command to restore the account (again, you can run this in "screen" on the new machine in case you were disconnected at any point):

    Code:
    /scripts/restorepkg username[/b]

    Thanks!
