Hello there

After making an update to version 74.0.9, the .htaccess file is not moved in the transfers I made with the transfer tool.

In my review, there is no problem with inherit php selected accounts, but the .htaccess file of selected sites in php version cannot be transferred.

Update: I've discovered new things about the problem. This problem appears when the "Unencrypted" option is enabled in the transfer tool advanced.

Hi @vacancy

I'm going to do some testing of this on my own from what I've seen we don't have a case open for this yet, is it all dot files or just .htaccess you've seen it with and is it only occurring for you with inherit php enabled?

Thanks!

I am not sure.

In most of the accounts I moved, the php version was selected. Only 1 account was inherit. I would like you to do the tests in two different ways.

Thank you.

Hi @vacancy

I'm not able to reproduce this and I'm wondering if this might match an older case in which it was noted when using SSH fallback (if 2087 is blocked/closed) the transfer tool doesn't copy .htaccess files

Can you tell me if 2087 is blocked and/or filtered on the source server?

Created 3 accounts 2 with inherit PHP and one with php set all include .htaccess:

Code:
ls -lah /home/*/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 cptest cptest 17 Oct 10 10:36 /home/cptest/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 owned owned 152 Oct 10 10:35 /home/owned/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 reseller reseller 277 Oct 10 10:35 /home/reseller/public_html/.htaccess
Set transfer to move all three sites to destination server - default transfer no special options selected and found that all 3 .htaccess files are moved without issue:

Code:
[[email protected] home]# ls -lah /home/*/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 cptest cptest 17 Oct 10 10:40 /home/cptest/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 owned owned 152 Oct 10 10:40 /home/owned/public_html/.htaccess
-rw-r--r-- 1 reseller reseller 278 Oct 10 10:40 /home/reseller/public_html/.htaccess
The ssl requirement being disabled shouldn't actually affect this though I did run the transfer without it and got the same results.
