Very strange problem. The /usr, /root, /var , /tmp and /home partitions are located on one HDD, and the /home2 partition is located on second HDD.
Although specified in /etc/wwwacct.conf that the home parition is /home, the accounts
get automatically created on /home2 .

When you umount /home2 the accounts are created on /home . Why this is happening and from where cPanel "decides" on which HDD to create the new accounts ?

    Thanks.

Thanks. I have just removed the whole entry. Any ideas why this happens since HOMEMATCH=HOMEDIR ?
Does not make a lot of sense.....

If there are multiple directories startinng with "home" (/home, /home1, /home2) the logic is to evenly distribute the load on each "home" drive to balance them out. It looks for the home directory with the lowest content and adds to that one. I'm not sure if it is space or percentage that the comparison is made on, it has been a while...

That is what I assumed but could not find anything regarding this type of balancing. Anyway - this clears things out. Thanks for your help !!!
