Accounts disappear?

    the site works

    the cpanel works but says in the mysql column
    "Sorry, your Cpanel Config file is missing your dns info. / unlimited"

    the site is missing in the list accounts option on the WHM , does anyone know how to fix this, I am a newbie please be gentle

    Firstly find out the username of that domain by

    Login to the server via SSH.

    grep domain.com /etc/userdomains

    cd /var/cpanel/users/

    Open the usenrmae file by vi username

    Look for the entry DNS= if it is missing then add the entry as DNS=domain.com

    Save the file and thats all you need to do.

    well I go into the putty and it asks for username and password, lets me in than then when I run grep domain.com /etc/userdomains it tells me permission denied.... how do I get permission to do this on my on server geesh

    can you access that ssh thru whm?

    I appreciate the help but I have no idea how to do what you are telling me to do... I am just a website owner and the site has got to big for shared so now I have to struggle to learn....

    I actually Paid for help on one of the recommended sites that help do this kind of stuff, but my ticket has been unresponded to for 3 days now :eek:

    Greenchickin.. you are root right? on ssh!? if your not root thats why u get that error! about premission denied!
