I went in to WHM and 7 accounts are gone, the directories/files are still on the server in the /home directory, and if I click on "modify account" they show up, but they are no longer under "list accounts" in WHM, and if you go to the URL for them they say "no website configured at this address".

What happened? How do I get them working again?

    Are they in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf?

If not, thats the reason why. You may want to look around for httpd.conf files in the /etc/httpd/conf directory and see if you can find a backup that has your sites in them then restore the latest httpd.conf and restart Apache.
