    Hello,

I have deleted some test accounts in the process of setting up a server. The accounts are no longer listed in the IP list but when I connect to them via FTP everything is still there. How can I be sure that EVERYTHING associated with an account has been deleted?

    Thanks,

    bob

Maybe delete the account's home directory (/home/&user&) ?

    Thanks for the reply!

How do you delete the home directory?

    1. ssh into your server using root
    2. type: rm -rf /home/&user& (replace &user& w/ the actual user name and be careful on this as it will delete the entire directory)

thanks very much for the instruction sprintslash. One more question before i give it a try. right now i have all accounts assigned to the same IP. One of the accounts i deleted earlier that is still &there& is on another IP. How do I know which IP i am deleting the account from? At this point the username for the account on IP .151, the one i wish to delete, is the same for another account on shared IP 150, which i would like to keep.
