    Hi,

Ive basically got an application that id like to run on my cPanel box, however it requires exclusive access to various ports, http, dns etc.

Is it possible to add an ip to my server by to somehow hide it from cPanel, so that it doesnt automatically start running all services on the new ip?

    Cheers,

    Ed

    Go on, have a guess
    That wouldn't help :)

You're going to have to modify each application that you want to exclude a specific IP address for. For example, to do it in apache, you have to remove the generic Listen 80 directive and replace it with multiple Listen ipaddr:80 for the ip address that you do what apache to listen on. There's similar functionality in /etc/named.conf for BIND, etc. You'll have to read up on each daemon that you want to modify to exclude (or include a specific range of IP's).
