Add new account LOOSE old ones??

    Could someone kindly explain this to me.
    I am about to loose all customers PLLLLEEEAAASSSSEEEE.

    The problem. (WHM8.5.1 cpanel 8.5.3-s3 RH8)
    I added a new account in WHM. Immediately after that, the existing customers could no longer login to pop. They can send mail but can't receive.

    On saturday I deleted the affected accounts and created them once more (280 accounts = sleeping at 4am) and the problem was solved.

    I added another account this morning and the same problem reappears.

    Does anyone have this problem? Where do I look?
    /scripts updatenow, fixeverything, update----everything doesn't help.

    Some kindly point me to the right direction.
    I need an answer today or I'm finished.

    But it doesn't solve it.

    I have run evrything I can find in /scripts.

    I have also seen somwhere in this forum about accounts being deleted when others are created.

    Should I upgrade? I was hoping to keep to STABLE versions

    Please advice.

    Thank you. I am going to try upgrading.

    The problem is I create a new account, when a user of an existing account tries to login to pop, there is authentication failure. server is now looking for this user's information from /home/NEWLY-CREATED-ACCOUNT/mail instead of /home/EXISTING-ACCOUNT/mail

    The account is not deleted but it can no longer be accessed (sending mail is OK but receiving is NOT)

    Could there be something wrong in the account creation process?? DNS??

    Will appreciate any clues.
