    I have a client trying to add on a domain through Cpanel. He gets this error in return.

    Nameserver ips for rockyrid.com are: xx.xx.xx.xx, xx.xx.xx.xx. skip CONTACTEMAIL (1) [3] Bind reloading on server1 using rndc
    Created DNS entry for rockyrid.com

    Setup Mail forward rockyrid.com -> rockyrid.xxlive.com
    Setup rockyrid.com OK
    Adding httpd.conf entry for rockyrid.com to point to rockyrid.xxlive.com

    rockyrid.com has been setup. It can be accessed via the subdomain rockyrid.xxlive.com. FTP access has been granted with the username rockyrid and the password xxx.

    The DNS appears to be pointing the domain to the server, but entering the domain in an address bar just results in server cannot be found.

    Same problem here.
    Addon domain did work, stopped about a week ago and this error started when they tried to re-add it.

    Running Cpanel upgrade fixed this problem for me.
