    Hello all!

Great to be e member here.

I have tried to add DNS zones with the fuction adddns. Normally it works fine, but then I added the option "reseller" with a valid reseller name, the reseller don't become the owner of the zone. The zone is still inserted, but the reseller don't become owner of it.

I looked it the script file and seems like the option "reseller" is coded, but it is not working.

What's the matter do you think?

    Tryning to run

The reseller name is valid, but the added DNS zones are not owned by the reseller upon creation. Anything know anything about the options?

    Hello :)

Utilizing the "add_dns" script will not associate the domain name with an account owner. For example, you could use a command such as:

    Code:
    /scripts/add_dns --domain=domain.com --reseller=reseller-username01
The use of the "reseller" flag will ensure the DNS Zone uses the name servers associated with that reseller. However, it's not intended to assign the domain to that reseller username or place it in the /etc/userdomains file. For that functionality, you would need to utilize the "adddns" API, as documented at:

API - Add A DNS Zone

    Thank you.

    cPanelMichael,

    Thank you for that clarification.

I have a long list of domains to add in bulk, but it seems that I can't do it through SSH if I also want to associate the domains with a specific owner? Right?

Yes, you should utilize the "adddns" API instead of "/scripts/add_dns" if you would like to add multiple zones and associate them with a specific owner.

    Thank you.
