    Hello all,

Yesterday I spent over 14 hours searching on how to get
GD support installed on my dedicated server.

I even updated from PHP 4.4.7 to 5.2.5 in order to get
the lastest updates but it when i check my php info via:

    PHP:
    rpm -q php-gd
    It show this:

    PHP:
    [root@host ~]# package php-gd is not installed
I even tried to run the following install:

    PHP:
    yum install php-gd
    yum install gd
    *
But still no luck... Instaed I get this:

    PHP:
    [root@host ~]# yum install php-gd
    Loading "installonlyn" plugin
    Setting up Install Process
    Setting up repositories

I take it you have root access, with WHM?

If so login to WHM Update - click "Apache Update" Follow the steps - its all about ease mate. Easy Apache will do the rest for you.

    Good luck.

    Hi,

Yes I have already done this... That is how I updated my php version from
    4.4.7 to 5.2.5 as well.

But it still didn't update the GD support...

    Any other suggestions?

    Joe

    Oh nevermind... Yes!!!

Thanks.. In the first update I didn't select the php GD support
    build option.

    Thanks a bunch!

Wow 14 hours waisted when I could have done this in
    less then 20 minutes. PHEW!

    Thanks again. ;-)
