Adding per-zone options without cPanel overriding them?

    cPanel provides a way to customize Exim and Apache configurations without the risk of them being overwritten by cPanel updates and other cPanel activities.

    Is there any way to add custom DNS options on a per-zone basis without cPanel overriding them?

    For instance, adding the "allow-transfer" option to a specific zone in named.conf, rather than in the "options {}" block which affects all zones.

    The solution in that thread might not be suitable because as you’d mentioned, the modifications get overwritten by cPanel when /scripts/rebuilddnsconfig is run.

    Nevertheless, if you can confirm that /scripts/rebuilddnsconfig is never run automatically by cPanel under any circumstances, we could give it a go.

    The changes are preserved unless you manually run that command, however I suggest opening a feature request for the ability to have these changes preserved, as there's no guarantee that behavior won't change in the future:
