I've looked at the cPanel addon documentation and it is very hard to read and follow. I want to add an application to all the accounts on the machine(all skins). Is there an easy way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

you will need to download a tarball of the theme, edit it to add you application, rename it and then upload it

What's a good program for windows that will accurately create a tarball that cpanel likes?

I've tried using winrar to make the tgz but cpanel doesn't seem to like it.

    Ideas?

I personally use WinACE but winRAR is fine, just rename the .tgz to .cptheme and it should work

just to confirm - this will allow me to:

-add a new icon and link to the theme
-add the underlying application to everyone running that theme

if this is true, what enables/disables the feature, like you can do with things from the feature manager?

If you have RVSkins installed, you could easily do this without have to install extra scripts
