    Edit /etc/passwd

    Find the username

Change the end of his line from:

    /usr/local/cpanel/bin/noshell

    to

    /bin/bash

Due to security reason, we offer SSH access as an option. We will
give SSH (no additional charge) for those who really need it.

    This is what we do
    - Create one plan hosting (without ssh access)
    - Create similar plan with the above (but with ssh access)

Everytime we want to give SSH, just upgrade the plan through WHM.
(This is to make life easier for our junior sysadmin)

This is also an easy way to add and remove shell access.

[b:c5f18430ca]You must be root to issue this command

    ADD: chsh -s /bin/bash username
    REMOVE: chsh -s /usr/local/cpanel/bin/noshell username[/b:c5f18430ca]
