Hi :),

If you do not have Advanced DNS zone editor, then you will need to contact your Hosting provider and ask them to add the TXT record for your domain from WHM.

Hello :)

Yes, as mentioned, you will need access to the "Advanced DNS Zone Editor" in cPanel, as documented here:

cPanel - Advanced DNS Zone Editor

You may need to consult with your hosting provider if this option is not available.

Thank you.

Hello,

I know this thread is from 2015 yet but I also have the same issue as original thread starter's.

My cPanel version is 84.0.21 and I also do not see the Advanced DNS Zone Editor on my cPanel dashboard, just the Zone Editor under Domains.

Does this mean I have to contact my host for them to install the TXT entries, or are there other tabs/features on the dashboard I need to click instead?

(Our Google mail has already been activated; the TXT strings concern an email service provider that provided the TXT strings for DKIM and SPF.)

Thank you very much.

While yes this is an older thread, I feel that this update would be valuable for some.

The advanced DNS Zone Editor along with the Simple DNS Zone editor were combined into the Zone Editor interface. You should be able to add a TXT record by going to cPanel>>Domains>>Manage Zone -> TXT under the "Filter by Name" Box or Add "TXT" Record in the Orange Dropdown on the right-hand side of the table.

Thanks for the quick reply, @cPanelLauren.

I did go to cPanel>>Domains>>Zone Editor (where on Zone Editor there is " Domains")>>
> (My domain listed, across of which are the buttons "A RECORD" | "CNAME RECORD" | "MX RECORD" | "DNSSEC" | "MANAGE")
• (I clicked on "MANAGE," ie. the path "cPanel >> Zone Editor >> Domains/Manage Zone")
••• (I then clicked the blue "ADD RECORD" dropdown button) and got what is on the attached image.

My question now is: How/Where do I manually add "TXT" to the list of record options, if at all possible?

BTW, my "ADD RECORD" dropdown button is, blue, not orange. Is there a difference in terms of privilege or cPanel version?

Thanks again.

That's probably because I'm using dark mode, instead of light mode.

It sounds like your package's feature list doesn't include the full zone editor permissions. You'd need to manage this with your hosting provider.

Thanks again, @cPanelLauren.

I wasn't aware of the cPanel modes, I'd probably been on the default since.
And yes, it may have been the case as our hosting provider have finally made access to the Advanced Zone Editor possible.

Cheers and appreciate your replies.
