I am thinking of buying an additional domain name but since I'm only a client and don't have WHM I need to know the best way to point it. I have a .com but am also going to get the .net.

I want it to point to the same place but parking it isn't good.

Why is parking it not an option?

Also since you are a client, have you talked with hosting provider regarding this?

You should be discussing this with your hosting provider since some of them don't allow a second domain and thise that do, will help you with it.

I tried parking but when I went to www.site-B.com/boards/ it automatically redirected to http://www.site-A.com/boards/ I just want to make an addional domain that points to the same place as my current.

That's problably because you didn't include the trailing clash in a directory name (i.e. www.site-B.com/boards)

Apache does that. It should work if you open www.site-B.com/boards/

I don't think there's any practical way to avoid this.
