    Hi,

I have been adding addon domain to a cpanel account for a while. I usually put

    New Domain Name: abc.com
    Username/directory/subdomain Name: abc.com
    Password: passwordhere

    I even used:

    New Domain Name: abc.ca
    Username/directory/subdomain Name: abc.com
    Password: passwordhere

So the first domain added fine. Then the second work as well without any issues. (just using this method as an automatic redirection without having bunch of empty folders in my public_html.

Today I try to add a new addon domain:

    New Domain Name: def.com
    Username/directory/subdomain Name: def.com
    Password: passwordhere

and I get an error popup message when I press addon domain saying:

"The username for the addon domain cannot contain '.'

    with an ok button.

My question is, why isn't it working anymore ? I have around 10 addon domains added with a . in the username and never got issues.

Any workaround, was it changed in a recent upgrade ?

    Regards,

    Simon

    Same here as well

This is a big problem for me.

Are all versions of Cpanel now behaving like this?

Is there any way to get around this
