    Hi,
In cPanel 11 I can host addon domain in a folder outside public_html. Is that good idea in terms of accessibility, speed and would everything else function normally. Also would that impact on SEO of the website hosted outside public_html. My hosting provider advised me not to move outside public_html folder in order for the website to be accessible. Can you please advise.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello :)

There is no change in functionality or accessibility/speed when configuring the document root outside of the public_html directory. It should make no difference with SEO.

    Thank you.

Thanks for your response, glad to hear that, it makes it so much neater to have addon domain's content aside from the main domain's folders.
