    So whats the deal here?

I dont understand fully what they are.

I have hosting that uses cpanel and a domain and i use that fine together.

Now i have another domain and was going to purchase some more hosting so it has its own site etc and no redirects or anything.

What happens with a Addon Domain? what do i have to do or is it just like a redirect or something else?

    Thanks :)

It would be better to post this question to your hosting company support to be sure how they handle it. If you have Addon domains available in your cPanel you would use that option to create the Addon domain. cPanel will create a folder in your public_html folder for the domain and entering the domain as the URL will point to that folder. cPanel will set everything up to handle the redirection, etc. and you would not have to do anything else. The nameservers for the new domain would need to be set to the same ones as your primary domain.
