In WHM under tweak settings (I think) there is an option to only allow cpanel cpaddons. Turn this off.

The error you received is likely because the md5 sum of the addon script on your system does not match the md5 sum of the cPAddon source that we packaged.

Rather than disabling the Prevent installation of cPanel addon scripts that have be altered (Turning this off may be useful when testing custom addons.) option, you really should go to Install cPAddons and then make sure that Force Refresh of All cPAddon Sources is checked and click on Update Addon Config. This will force the addon script source files to be redownloaded.

If you disable the above mentioned option, you are at risk of installing one of the cPanel packaged addons which has been altered since we packaged it. This can be a big security risk.
