Now i did test this with other domains and it does work. So far this is the only domain i cant do it in.

I have tryed to following to fix it.
1. Delete www/guestbookdir plus .agbook
2. Reset password for his user for both cpanel and in mysql for his user.
3. deleted the db\'s Advanced guestbook created and the user it created. now their is only 1 user called dpi-ld
4. tryed installing with a diffrent dir name.

This is driving me nutz the client is kinda pist and i\'ve been working on this for about an hour now. Any body know whats up?

No not a reseller... sadly a distributor for cpanel and i guess we get no phone support unless absolutly needed. I dont know what to do. This is our first server running cpanel and all though i like it alot, it makes it very difficult to fix things when their is no support to help out. If you figure this out or your host let me know what they did!!! Seriouly, i need all the knowlege on this CP that i can get.

Also if you guys purchased cpanel threw burst email them and ask them! They have free support for emails i beleive. Sadly we cant do that... (hmmm... or can we.. ;) )

Looks like the same issue as with the XMB install...
Cpanel strips out the dashes from your MySQL username, however the guestbook/XMB do not.

Solution: Don\'t use dashes in your guestbook or XMB installation.

Vince.

Hmmm... The user having this problem on my server does not have dashes in his domain name or user name. Although, he is a *.co.uk domain, which I don\'t think would matter....

Hi baileysemt! ;)

Alright, now I ran into this. I have one client with a - in his username, and he can\'t install the Advanced Guestbook.

Is there an easy fix for this? He has his site well established and I can\'t ask him to rebuild it!

Luckily my client has allowed me to remove/recreate his account and he rebuilt his entire site.. All to get a guestbook ;) I lucked out and will no longer use -\'s but this should be fixed.
