* Instance with OS Centos 8 Stream in Google cloud was created.
* I was able to SSH
* WHM was installed
* I was able to configure WHM in the browser
* Reboot from WHM
* Then server is unreachable in browser or even SSH
in Console Serial port I get this:

OSConfigAgent Critical main.go:89: network error when requesting metadata, make sure your instance has an active network and can reach the metadata server: Get http://169.254.169.254/computeMetad...it_for_change=true&last_etag=0&timeout_sec=60: dial tcp 169.254.169.254:80: connect: network is unreachable

Firewall disabled
network manager disabled
SElinux disabled

were disabled before install WHM

What can be the issue?

Hey there! It's hard to say what the issue may be, but if the problem is keeping even SSH from working properly, it seems the issue is happening at a lower level than the cPanel software. It would be best to reach out to your hosting provider to see if they can check the machine directly and get you more details as there is not going to be anything on the cPanel side of things that will resolve this issue.

I am facing the same issue. Couldn't understand what should I do now. Searching everywhere, but not getting any solution.

@riyadhtayf - if the server is not reachable even over SSH you would need to contact your host to see what is wrong with the configuration, as we wouldn't have any access or troubleshooting tips that would help with that level of access problem. They will have the access necessary to check the issue and get you more details.

Hi, I have the same problem but with Cloudlinux 8 installed on CentOS 8 (not Stream).
@henry_dev, were you able to solve it?
Direct Solution: Ask for KVM or IPMI access to the Provider. Then Login to the Server and Check Network. In Most of the Cases, Network is down and not able to boot up due to some problem! If you need more help, Just create a New thread!
