    Regards,

    I have a strange problem....
I did safesshrestart command from whm... t reset my ssh to default port number..
Now when I try to change the port number in sshd_config and restart the ssh service nothing changes.. port 22 is still active ...
    Any ideas ??

(Yes I did commented uncommented port number, and changed it to something that was working before, problem is that port is not changed and ssh is active on default 22 port)

    Hi,

You need to stop the old SSH daemon then restart it as running safesshrestart starts SSH using a temporary config on another port.

You need to kill the old process then restart, a normal restart should take care of it.
