AIM and ICQ not working?

Hello,

I just setup a new cpanel/whm server and i registered aim and icq accounts for the server, but it is not coming online. Any ideas?

what kind of message will it send? like what would trigger it?

thats odd, because mysql is down, i am getting the e-mails but it is not signing on and msging me

oops, i found out they were the wrong user/pass, i put in the correct ones, lets see what happens

Ive found that ICQ has never worked for me and that AIM sporadically works.

Ive got R117 so i dont know if there is a problem with it or what.

You need to go into Contact Manager and set them up properly.

Set MySQL Root Password
Enable/Disable Traceroute

Service Manager
Enable/Disable SuExec
Manage Wheel Group Users
Shell Fork Bomb Protection
Setup Remote Access Key

and in edit setup everything is set correctly

i just installed it yesterday version 6:

could it be the skin im usign? im using xskin

That's the problem. Use the default skins like blue and orange.

Contact Manager You can now change where specific types of alerts go and alter their which contact method each one uses. (6.0.0 build 41 or later only)

Try another upcp with the blue theme and see what happens.

btw, at the top of whm it says:
"WHM 6.0.0

You need to change your update options to EDGE instead of Release.
