Alias Email Forwarding

Hi guys,

I'm setting up an email alias [email protected] to forward to [email protected]. Doesn't seem to be working and no bounce back emails or errors shows. I would've thought that it would be as simple as domain forwarding like domain.ca forwards to domain.com. Am I missing something here?

It should be that simple (just add the forward). Have you looked in /var/log/exim_mainlog to see if there are any errors? You can basically grep for the alias name, get the message ID and then grep that ID to get all the related records.

I agree with @ffeingol - it really should be that simple, but hopefully there are some errors in the log that will give you more detail about the issue. If you need to post any errors here, make sure to remove the public information like domain names and IP addresses.
