Seems like a simple concept but I can't for the life of me work out how to alias a sub domain ( to point at the root of it's parent domain (

Any ideas? I have set the sub domains up through the DNS manager service my domain host provides and pointed them at the same IP address as the parent domain. I can add them to cPanel as 'sub domains' but then that routes them to a sub directory by the same name, 'add on domains' does not work and neither does 'parked domains'. They both report that the sub domain is not valid.

Is there some wat I can hack the behaviour that I'm after, and is this a bug?
