All Passwords are not working! (URGENT)

    Hi,
    I am root and using cpanel. All websites passwords are not working. even i have changed them. Ftp and cpanel is not accepting password. Please let me know how to fix this problem. i think i have to delete password file and then change the password for all websites. Please kindly reply me in details. where is password file...etc Your help will be appreciated.

    Notice: Its very urgent.

    Seems that your /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow is either currupted or deleted...
    try running :
    --- if shadow file is currupted
    Code:
    ]# pwconv
    OR
    --- if passwd file is currupted
    Code:
    ]# /scripts/rebuildetcpasswd

    I run both commands. No error found. both commands executed successfully. but still i have same problems, all passwords are not working. :(

    Try restoring the passwd- file in /etc to passwd. Not sure though. I suggest you to hire a admin for you rather than messing with the server.
