All passwords stopped working

    So today, I added a new email account to one cpanel account on my server. Immediately afterwards, all passwords have stopped working. I can not log in over IMAP, I can not log in to WHM, or cPanel, for any user on the entire server.

    Has anyone else encountered this? I can't find anything in the logs.

    I rebooted and did an upcp --force, no luck.

    Solved.

    Brute force locked me out - maybe my IMAP client hit the server a few times in the background when I was setting up the new account before I added the new password.

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    You may want to add your IP to the cPHulk Brute Force Protection whitelist in WHM in that area. That way you won't be locked out going forward again.
