Hi all,

Last August my company migrated all server websites accounts (Hosting server) to a new server (cPanel to cPanel with migration tool). Then all sending emails going on spam. (@gmail, @outlook, @yahoo, @everywhere).

The e-mails was send from Outlook (PC) and Roundcube, with the same results: emails going on spam folder.

We did the following steps:
  1. check DKIM - ok
  2. check SPF - ok
  3. check DMARC - ok
  4. check Reverse DNS PTR - ok
  5. check IP blacklist (Not blacklisted) - ok
  6. check @ mail-tester.com 10/10 - ok
  7. check @ mailgenius.com 98/100 - ok
  8. check server IP reputation @ talos, not so good (New IP):
    1. Send from all websites account emails to gmail, yahoo, outlook, etc and then marks this emails: "this is not spam". We did this to increase IP reputation, with no results.
    2. We were waiting 3 months, in case IP reputation increase - no results
  9. Apply static IP to two different account (in case IP is the problem) - no results
  10. Migrated an account back to old server - emails works fine goes in inbox. Transfer back to new server, going to spam folder
  11. Open ticket in WHM to check new Server Configuration - it' s ok

Now, 6+ months after migration, the problem still exists! Any idea?

Hey there! It sounds like with your testing of moving the account back to the old machine, that there is indeed some issue with the IP address reputation on the new system. Just because an IP address doesn't show up in Talos or MXToolbox, doesn't mean that major providers (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) will remove it from their internal lists.

The best thing to do in this situation may be to contact your hosting provider or datacenter to see if they could get you a different IP address, and then configure that IP address for outgoing email as outlined here:

Hi again,
I will try to change IP for emails only and i let you know the results.
However, we applied a static IP on 2 accounts, without results, of course this IP address was neighborhood IP to the server IP (bad neighborhood).

It's possible the IP being in the same range is an issue, as some mail providers have been known to mark an entire block of IPs as having a poor reputation even though only one address is causing problems.

Let me know if a different IP does indeed help!
