On one of my cpanel servers all services like httpd, exim, bind etc stoped working without reason. From logs it seems somehting with file permissions is not ok.

    apache error_log:

[Sun Jun 19 18:34:01 2005] [error] mod_ssl: Child could not open SSLMutex lockfile /usr/local/apache/logs/ssl_mutex.10725
[Sun Jun 19 18:34:01 2005] [error] System: Permission denied (errno: 13)

every aplication server logs something like this one. permission denied. Anyone have some sugestions how to repair server heh?

for example accout creation in whm returns:

Could not create /home/naox/mail/inbox: Permission denied

    Creating web http://www.naox.vipserv.org.
Error: The server extensions were unable to access the file "service.lck". Please check the file permissions.
    No such file or directory

    etc etc

Did some fool chmod -R 000 / or something. Check the permissions on / and all the folders related to exim/apache and so on. (/usr/local/apache /var/run/named/ /etc/ and so on).

    Regards,
    Brent
