Hey,

We use (against my recommendation) an archaic  software that uses port 25 with no security for SMTP connections, when sending email notifications.
Apparently our cPanel server doesn't accept this kind of unsecure connections, how can I enable it?

Thank you

Hey there! There isn't a way to set up cPanel to do this as having an option to make it easy for a user to disable SMTP authentication would cause several issues. While it might be possible, you'd need to customize Exim manually to do this, so you may want to explore the Exim users list pages for more details on that configuration, if it exists.

Hey cPrex,

Maybe I didn't explain correctly. What I want is to allow a user to configure the mail client to use SMTP with authentication but neither using SSL/TLS nor STARTTLS.
Like the Thunderbird screenshot attached.

Thank you!

Thanks for the additional details - that does make more sense.

I'm not sure there's a good way to limit that to just one IP address, but can you check this thread to see if that is what you're looking for?
