Hi,

We have been receiving requests from some of our end users who would like to be able to modify DNS for their domains within cPanel.

Giving the clients WHM access is not an option at this point.

Is there any possibility that such a feature will be implemented in the future?

Hello

This option can be enabled only for reseller accounts:

WHM -> Reseller Center -> <Select a Reseller:> -> Edit Privileges/Nameservers

Each reseller can have "mini" WHM with limited options, which can be set by "Edit Privileges/Nameservers" menu

Hope it helps.

A mini-whm as suggested above will allow edit-dns, but you could make it where they are not able to create new accounts.

Hi,

We particularly want to avoid granting WHM access as I mentioned in original post.

Can someone from cPanel comment if this will be permitted in the future or is it not going to be implemented as WHM already provides this functionality?

cPanel is implementing an editdns API function in 11.25 (there's another thread about that somewhere here). You can use this api function to allow users to to edit the dnszones in your client area :)

Not too sure on the details yet as it hasn't been released :)
