Hello,

I have a user that is trying to use port 25 for SMTP, but their ISP is blocking sending from that port. Is there an encrypted connection or alternate port that is already open, that can be used?

I have a wildcard SSL for web traffic

If not, where would be the best place to find a how-to? I would prefer an encrypted SMTP configuration.

Thanks

Easiest thing to do is:

Login to WHM > Service Manager > Exim on Another Port

Specify a port e.g. 28 and then open this on your firewall. Your client should be able to manually configure their mail software to use the new port instead of 25, and send/recieve successfully.

Hi there, well I had same problem, but I fixed it by opening a 26 port for smtp, you can do it from WHM, just go to: Service Manager which is in tab "SERVICE CONFIGURATION", then you can see the " exim on another port ", it is last on the list ( I don't know is everywhere, but in my WHM is), just enter 26, activate that service and that's it ;)

I hope I helped you.
