    Hi,

Any one know which Linux support 64bit cpu now?

And if i install this os , will cpanel / WHM support it?

Just want to know when we can get a box with 64Bit cpu + cpanel.

    Sorry for my bad english!

I believe RH supports this, but you will have to pay for the distro...that means that cPanel probably won't install clean on the box and I doubt cPanel will even consider the 64 bit ability of the procs.

Your best bet would be to get a 2 or 4 way 32 bit box.

RH doesnt support it yet as far as i know. The FreeBSD team is working on it hardcore, and supposedly they got it pretty stable.

I dont think cPanel would work, as its binaries are compiled for 32 bit.

the 64 bit chips should all be backward compatible so it shouldnt be a problem

Which defeats the purpose of having a 64 bit chip.

Try taking a look at the changelog....cpanel will run in 64 bit mode now.
