    Hello,
I am new to Cpanel. With the previous host, i just connected to the ftp and once into my domain folder, were the files i needed. But with Cpanel, it has loads of other folders, i find this really annoying becuase then you cannot find the folder you want to find etc etc. Is there any way around this?
    Many thanks
    Chris Harris

you should really should be asking your web host

yes there is create a new FTP account with your ftp manager

    add a new FTP account
    Login: username
    Password: XXXX
to log straght into your public_html folder

put a single slash / in the Directory: /home/username/public_html

presto you are now logging in via FTP directly to your public_html folder

Is there a way to make public_html a default FTP folder for all users (I just got a call from one that deleted everything)?

The best solution is to send all new customers some basic instructions including explaining the folders and their purpose.
