I lost a hard drive and had to restore the client accounts from backup, but now it's no longer possible to use anon ftp on any of those restored accounts, it just hangs when trying to log in - normal authenticated login is fine on the restored accounts and the anon ftp works fine on any newly created accounts so it seems to be an issue with the restored accounts rather than the ftp server.

I've tried switching to Proftp and back to pure-ftp, I've made sure anon ftp is enabled in WHM and I've checked the permissions on public_ftp directories which is the same as on the new accounts. I've also tried the resync ftp passwords tool just in case.

    Any suggestions?
