anonymous ftp with IE via a URL [moved]

this url works fine with firefox - but not for IE

ftp://[email protected]:[email protected]@ftp.alchemymedia.com



it's the format :

ftp://username:[email protected]

but for IE it gives a "site not found error" - i'm trying to use the full username and password as given by Cpanel - but it doesn't work for IE urls

any way to get this to work in Internet Explorer? I'm trying to create a clickable URL
from a website to give anonymous ftp access.

I believe it is disabled in IE. I am not too sure though.
