This is the 2nd time this week that our forum and statsserver are offline due to a database failure.
Normally i would cancel the hosting account at this point, but because i use a reseller i will give it one more chance.
If this happens again in a short period then i will no longer use this host.
Our society depends on the forum for information exchange, every day the forum is unreachable we are stacked up with lots of work (as admin).
This week alone costed me around $80 to trace the origin of the errors only to conclude that i couldn't fix it because they were host related.

Also i find no usefull information on this so called support forum regarding serverstatus and so on.
It seems that all clients need to solve each others problems instead of a host giving at least some info on regular problems.

I hope this post will help in the struggle for an errorfree host, but i doubt it.
My last post was in vain so i guess this one will be too.

We use this host for testing, so far i can only say one thing :
    OFFLINE !!!

The other URL is our existing homepage and from day 1 till now we haven't any problems whatsoever, online 24/7 !!!

You are an end user, correct? Could you explain why you are posting on the cpanel forums instead of contacting your own host?

What are you looking for buddy ???

I have no need for an index.html so i don't use it.
The account is only needed for hosting a php-forum and a statsserver for an online game. (2 MySQL databases).

You want to know my social security nr. too ???

But nvm, if such a simple question takes so much effort to answer then i'm in the wrong place.

To restate my topic : 2 of the MySQL databases are no longer functioning. Since i got no access to this i'm unable to correct the problem.
Earlier this week that same problem appeared but it was fixed a day later (i guess ....)
Now the same problem appears and again we have a no option then to fall back to our backup server hosted at a different location and different host.
Maybe it helps if i tell you that i checked if i had done something wrong and that i couldnt find any error i made.
When i get a message stating : Unable to connect to the database. Too many open connections .... Then i guess the host is working on it.
So my question is: Where do i see when the host is working on it or doing maintenance on it ? Cpanel status view is saying everything is operating 100%, yet my database have vanished ....

P.S.: Don't take this personally , you might get stressed ...

I wanted to know what the hosts name was to be sure I stayed away from it..... buddy.

You come here complaining about the host and don't say who.

You're in the wrong forum, go back to your host

Too many open connections means exactly that. It doesn't mean your host is working on it.

Your host could change the number of max open connections to a higher value.

I don't understand what you expect from us on this forum.

Again, this is a forum for server owners, not end users.
If you don't get a response from your host I suggest you switch to another host.

As jamesbond said, "Too many open connections" means there are too many connections to the database at one time. That would be why you are having trouble. It could mean there are TOO MANY connections at once, or it could mean your hosting provider has the limit set too low.

This is something only your hosting provider can fix. Ask them if they can raise the limit.
