    Im trying to rotate my maillog once a month but for some reason everytime it rotates antirelayd wont read maillog again until i restart syslog and antirelayd. I even set this in my logrotate

    /var/log/maillog {
    sharedscripts
    notifempty
    postrotate
    /etc/init.d/syslog restart
    /etc/init.d/antirelayd restart
    endscript
    }

    But its no help, i still have to restart them both again after logrotation :(

    Go on, have a guess
    Did you check the other /etc/logrotate.d/* files to make sure that something else isn't rotating the file (e.g. /etc/logrotate.d/syslog)?
