Any Possible Update Issues With Activating Old License?

I've got a server that's been sitting idle not doing anything since last March so I let the Cpanel License Expire. I believe it was on version 54 when I stopped using it. I'm wondering if I reactivate the license should it update to the latest version with no issues?

Is there possible issues is sys admin ran a "yum update" on the system before re-activating Cpanel license?
Hello,

That should not prevent the license from validating. Are you receiving a specific error message?

Thank you.

I wasn't really concerned about the license. I was more concerned about other technical issues as I'm not sure if the O/S was upgraded manually since license expired would cause any other issues. I'm considering reactivating with an annual license and so just wanted to make sure there shouldn't be any issues before I place the order.

Hello,

It's difficult to know for sure, as it would depend if any custom RPMS were installed (e.g. Apache, PHP, MySQL). Generally, as long as YUM was setup the same way as it was when cPanel was initially installed, you shouldn't encounter any issues.

Thank you.
