Inside of cpanel on left we see this as everyone does.

    Example:::

    Disk usage 326.50 Megabytes
    SQL Disk usage 56.15 Megabytes
    Disk space available 73.50 Megabytes

This basically tells mysql is not being added to the overall quota total of accounts.

Does anyone have the replacement coding where the overall account disk total would also add in mysql amounts. This would give you a more uptodate overall total of user usage.

I have a cron set to run /scripts/updatemysqlquota every day. Works for me.

Are you saying that updates the overall disk usage that a client has?

Running this did not make the total space available indicate properly.

CAsey I believe the overall disk usage showing in cpanel does not include mysql, I agree it shows mysql total separate by itself but that is not included in overall disk usage.

    Casey,
I ran what you suggested and also ran fixquotas 2 times and it seems to add up now.

Account below has 400 megs available, the sql space below is included in the disk usage number you see 326.50

    Disk usage 326.50 Megabytes
    SQL Disk usage 56.15 Megabytes
    Disk space available 73.50 Megabytes

Yeah, I was going to take a screen shot of mine, but then it started looking strange and I thought it wasn't being counted. In fact it is, isn't it? Boy, am I confused.:)

    I ran /scripts/fixquotas and /scripts/updatemysqlquota

I have one account with a total quota of 250 mb and the usage is as follows:

    Disk usage 86.17 Megabytes
    SQL Disk usage 4.66 Megabytes
    Disk space available 163.83 Megabytes

Now, is the SQL Disk Usage already included into the Disk usage or not? I'm not really sure anymore... (Not the greatest example because of the low SQL disk usage).

Well, It is a simple matter of maths people. ;)

    TOTAL QUOTA: 250MB

    Disk Usage: 86.17MB
    SQL Disk Usage: 4.66MB

TOTAL QUOTA - Disk Usage = Disk space availabe
    250 - 86.17 = 163.83

So, I think it's obvious the SQL Disk usage is not counted.

    Regards,

actually, you've proved nothing with this "math"

example of an user of mine"

    Disk usage 736.98 Megabytes
    SQL Disk usage 97.23 Megabytes
    Disk space available 263.02 Megabytes

    and...

    root@seven [/home/USER]# du -sh
    745M .

therefore, indeed sql space is not taken into consideration.

reason for that is this: space used is counted by adding all the files that have the user as owner.

databases have as owner mysql:mysql, therefore they are not counted.
