Anyone know how to tweak cpanel to not back specific accounts?

This has been talked about before but maybe someone got extra clever since then.

Just wondering how to tweak a server to not back up some accounts. Simply because the ones that are bigger then 1 gig are too much resource on the server to back up.

Sounds like you need a better/bigger server

But cPanel doesn't have that functionality unfortunately. I suppose it's in theory possible to write a cron which checks the total size of an account and activates or deactivates backups accordingly, but you might be better off with a service like JetBackup (which is amazing - we used R1Soft for years until we switched over to this and couldn't be happier with it) which offers much more fine-grained control over who is backed up, and when.
