Anyone know if /easyapache's Dav and PHP-CGI mod is needed, and what they do?

    Mainly wondering if anyone uses them, and if you don't mind a basic description of their purpose.

    You can see if they are installed in your news page in the WHM. If you have them they would be listed above the news with the other apache stuff.

    PHP-CGI is part of the phpsuexec patch which is a patch to apache so that php scripts can be run like perl scripts but w/o the need for to have #!/usr/bin/php line in the scripts involed

    Dav is Distributed Authoring and Versioning which is a set of extensions to the http protocol to allow people work on and edit sites or information using the http protocol and take advantage of stuff like https it is sort of like a combination of cvs and ftp with a built in editor, they the thing which microsoft refers to as Web Folders http://www.nwfusion.com/news/tech/2003/0407techupdate.html has some examples how it might be used
