Anyone know if there is software to see the servers CPU heat?

    I know the bios tracks this so I'm wondering if there is a script that can display this option.

    Not likely. Almost all BIOS are going to require unique drivers or "peek" points to get the info, its not something standard. Freebsd has/had some things like mbmon and xmbmon
    but they are old and only support a few BIOS.

    Most of the monitors today would end up being graphical and not provide a text output you could pipe to a file.

    You can use lmsensors to view your systems heat, fan speeds etc.
