I have a similar but slightly different issue.

Some "over quota" notifications sent by cPanel are bouncing due to DMARC not being set for [email protected].

Is it possible to setup SPF/DKIM/DMARC for the server hostname? I can't see the DNS entry for server.hostname.com when editing.
Or optionally, to force cPanel generated notifications to send via SMTP?

For example, consider the following bounced email:

You could remove the "A" record for the hostname from it's parent domain name's zone and then create a separate DNS zone for the hostname. There is a thread here on how to create DMARC records in the zone:
