after updating to apache 1.3.28 I have notice that hotlink protection will not work. any way I try to do this, and I have done this in many ways.

Here is where I have left off.

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://mydomain.com/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http://www.mydomain.com/.*$ [NC]
    RewriteRule .*\.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp|tif|mov)$ - [F,NC]

I have been up and down forums across the net. Everyone else code is pretty much the same.

any body encounter this? or am I missing something here?
this had worked before the upgrade. and now it doesn't any more.

and yes I have mod_rewrite compiled and running!

    thank you in advance,

    Pete
