I was looking at my disk space. Disk space reported via DF said i was using 71% of my total disk space. That was pretty impossible based on the number of sites on the box. So i looked around and found hundreds and hundreds of Apache core dumps in /usr/local/Apache. Whats up with that? I rm -f core*. Now my disk space is back at 21% which is about what i expected.

Like to know where these core dumps are coming from and why?

I'm used to seeing these when apache is rebuilt using WHM. It doesn't seem to be an issue when doing it from the command line, but only with WHM. Did you recently rebuild apache via WHM?

Only in the past 2 weeks since easyapache was failing but all the other times it was done via the command line and we had core dumps in there dating back to Jan 2003.
