apache dieds after upgrade because of byteslog

Problem: After upgrading to the latest apache
per WHM's suggestion, apache is dead now because of having a problem with BytesLog


The bytes_log_module.so is being loaded but it will not work.


i've recompiled using easyapache and used from option 1 to 5 and nothing will fix it.

anyone have any suggestions?

Try removing it and rebuilding the it with the one that comes with cpanel

cd /usr/local/cpanel/apache
make
make install

I tried and it gives the following error:

but mod_log_bytes.so is in that directory... here is the contents of /usr/local/apache/libexec/mod_log_bytes.so
