I am installing cpanel on a VPS. The VPS template Is Fedora Core 2 and when ever I install cpanel, it erases apache. Any ideas?

Apache won't start because it says it can't find it. It is like cpanel deleted the old apache and forgot to reinstall their version.

    Go on, have a guess
You should try rebuilding it through WHM > Software > Update Apache

cPanel and WHM do not run on apache to serve the cpanel and WHM pages to teh browser. It uses it's own web server on port 2082 and 2086 and 2083 and 2087.

Having said that you also have

/scripts/easyapache you can do from SSH either way.
