    Look at the entire screen output of the easyapache run. Something in there is failing. A couple things to check;

    1. Are you root?
    2. Does gcc work?
    3. Does wget work?

    Select the option to not using existing Apache files so it downloads fresh ones.
    It's somewhere in the main Easyapache screen.

    Do you even get to the main easyapache screen?

    Something is is failing then in the build, you need to check through the entire output of the build script and look for some failures. If you can, copy the screen buffer to a text file and attach it here.

    There's a serious problem with the current installation methods of apache.

    It is present in a layer1 new release for a general cpanel installation.

    We are getting half installs of apache. Various binaries missing and partial configuration files.

    Note: We are now finding this problem in new installs of cpanel, and runs of easyapache. Hard to tell the culprit, apxs is having a hard time handling module installs, various binaries aren't present that obviously need to be, the configuration file only gets partially written. Compile time errors such as :

    Discussing with cpanel tech, they don't consider this a legitimate problem, IE canned response requesting root information. They've said they've tested a new installation of cpanel on their end and not experienced similar problems.

    So you are on your own to compile apache outside the scope of cpanel's scripts in this case.

    That is how we are handling the servers that are having issues.

    I had a build issue with one of our servers and it turned out to be the ming support. I disabled the ming option and the compile worked.

    I never compile with Ming Support ever (had same experience as you before thats why).

    I am recompliling again now and the results so far (the scrolling text) is just about 100% different than the last complile I did and got the error (5 hours ago). They must of certainly did something at cpanel to correct / change this around.
